Catherine Pooler, an experienced stamper created StampNation and Catherine Pooler Designs.
StampNation is an subscription based online community for all things stamping with video tutorials, challenges and other fun activities.
The shop sells a whole range of products from stamps, inks, coordinating paper and card and stencils.
The ink pads are very popular. They are foam based which makes them a little bit different from the majority of ink pads which are felt based.
They're available in a great range of colours. You can also buy them in mini sized bundles. The Carnival set in vibrant colours is a good first buy if you like making rainbow cards.
As the inks are dye based they can be used for water colouring and ink smooshing techniques.
Ink colour charts and swatch cards can be downloaded free from the website.
The stamps are made of high quality photopolymer. The designs are a little bit funky and have a retro feel which again makes them a little different from the norm.
Catherine's demonstration videos are fun and uplifting- her enthusiasm is infectious!
The Say it in Diamonds stamp set is a great example of the versatility of the Catherine Pooler brand. It contains a number of diamond image shapes that can be used individually or mixed together.
The sentiments can also be mixed and matched with any of the images.
The stamps give something for every occasion and for everyone. They can be used for all age groups and masculine/feminine by changing the colours.
The only problem is there is so many variations you have to make a bundle of cards to use all the stamps!
"Happy Birthday" is a clean and simple card repeating the one stamp across the card. It uses 3 ink colours from the same colour family.
On this card I used the Ombre technique where the ink blends from a lighter to a darker colour on the stamp.
I inked the stamp with the lightest colour. Then I inked again on the top part of the stamp with the darker colour.
When you stamp onto the card you are left with this two tone effect - Beautiful!
For this card I first stamped the sentiment in the centre of the card to provide the diamond outline for the stamped images.
I then stamped the sentiment again on new card with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Nuvo Cool Jade embossing powder from Tonic.
This was trimmed to a diamond shape and mounted with foam over the previously stamped sentiment.
