Vellum for Card Making

by Tina
(US)

If I have a busy background I use Vellum as a diffuser over the background.

It softens the background without hiding the color and texture.

ANSWER: Thank you for sharing Tina I love using Vellum too as it makes cards look elegant and delicate. Great for wedding cards.

I also use it for heat embossed sentiment strips. Though you have to be careful to heat from the back on a lower heat or the Vellum will curl.

Vellum can be bought in different thicknesses and colours so check before buying.

I'll love to see how anyone has used Vellum on their cards.

Vellum
by: Cath

I stick die cut sentiments to Vellum strips and die cut the shadow background out of Vellum.

ANSWER:

Great idea Cath! You can also colour the vellum with alcohol markers or watercolour markers to match the colours on the card and die cut sentiment.
